Jeffrey was the designer and one of the builders of a three story post and beam barn. The barn is 36 by 32 feet and was completed on time and on budget. My wife and I own a home in Bethel, Vermont and for many years we had planned on building an addition to it in order to make it our retirement home. Almost be complete chance we came across Mr. Porter’s workshop and stopped in to see his work. Immediately, we were drawn to his design ideas and quiet confidence. Over several months, we communicated with Mr. Porter and shared design ideas for our planned timber frame addition.

 Candidly we were somewhat reluctant to engage Mr. Porter due to the fact that he was very young, and -we feared- lacking the requisite experience for such an ambitious project. Any such concerns, however, were quickly erased as the various phases of the project progressed. Instead, we were soon assured that Mr. Porter was the perfect choice to design and build our dream house. The project was finalized on time and within the projected budget. The whole process was flawless and seamless. The final product exceeded our wildest expectations. Mr. Porter is a serious artist and master builder who clearly takes tremendous pride in his work. He is truly talented beyond his years.

We met Jeff Porter in the winter of 2016. We were interested in timber frame house design.  At our first meeting the relationship seemed to click.
